Today, iOnline launched a brand spanking new website for the most successful team in NRL history. The Brisbane Broncos are leaders in the game, and they were quick to recognise that their previous websites just weren't up to the task of leading a very competitive industry. iOnline was brought on board to completely redo the Broncos website, to implement a flexible and usable content management system and to lead the Broncos into the world of Web 2.0 technologies, such as vidcasts, podcasts and RSS news feeds. This was done on time and on budget using iOnline's popular iCMS content management system. View the new Brisbane Broncos website today at www.broncos.com.au

The Gold Coast's own superstars, the Jetstar Gold Coast Titans, have long been associated with iOnline and its sister business, G-Netech Studios. Fortunately, that relationship is set to continue for another year, withe the Titans electing to have iOnline redevelop their website for the 2008 season. The new Titans site is far more usable and cross-browser compatible than the last and has been designed to deliver quality information to fans, as conveniently as possible, and to generate incremental revenue for the club through the sale of memberships, sponsorships, merchandise and tickets to Skilled Park games. iOnline launched the new Gold Coast Titans website during their first match of the season, on March 14. The new site may be seen at www.titans.com.au

The media-savvy Spherix team, who drive the V8 Utes series in Australia, recently turned to iOnline to give them a competitive edge. The motor racing industry is highly competitive, both on and off the track, and free-to-air TV placement is so scarce that a series organiser needs to be firing on all cylinders in order to stand apart from the pack. The new V8 Utes website, which is now live at www.v8utes.com.au, features a dramatic, impactful and male-oriented design scheme, a liberal sprinking of Flash work, racer profiles, dynamic TV schedule alerts, flexible photo galleries, video support, a powerful merchandise shopping cart, team logins, document managers, podcast galleries, news management, dynamic result tables and much more. The entire site is backed by iOnline's proprietary content management system, iCMS, which enables the Spherix team to control every key aspect of the site; whether it be adding news articles on the fly, or uploading dozens of high-resolution images and interview podcasts directly from a trackside laptop. Check out their two new websites at www.v8utes.com.au and www.spherix.com.au to see how iOnline is helping to keep V8 Utes at the top of its game.

They say that it's never a good idea to talk about religion or politics at the dinner table, but we've never been big fans of social etiquette. Rather, in the interests of fanning the flames of controversy that have already started to engulf the upcoming Australian Federal Election, we thought it wise to create an accessible and far-from-serious blog to help foster open and honest discussions of the election. To talk a little politics and have a load of fun, hop on over to Oz Election: http://www.ozelection.com

Continuing to strengthen its presence within the local community, iOnline was recently nominated for the "Burleigh Chamber of Commerce Business Awards" in the category of "Business Excellence Award (fewer than 15 employees)." We had the pleasure of attending the group's awards ceremony on Friday, September 21, and had a ball celebrating the achievements of many high growth local companies. iOnline did not win its category on this occasion - that honour went to Signature Auto Care, who are doing great things locally. We were, however, announced as finalists within our highly competitive category, however, for which we are very grateful. Thank you to all of our current clients, to Nic Rone from Varsity Lakes Travel who nominated us for the award and to those involved in the Chamber of Commerce who put on a fantastic event for the Gold Coast business community. We hope to be invited back again next year!

One of the most progressive entertainment venues on the Gold Coast, the Southport RSL, recently approached iOnline to develop a website that is a fitting match for their clean, modern, refurbished brand. The company's old website was an inflexible, static, awkward property that failed to convey the lively sense of fun that the club exudes each day. Their new content-managed site is driven by an intuitive navigtion system, a clean CSS-based structure and an inviting, aesthetically striking interface that should help to better align with the expectations of members and guests. See the fun new site here: http://www.southportrsl.com.au

Testament to its significance in shaping and reporting on web publishing and online advertising developments throughout the medium's most defining years, the Geek/Talk webmaster discussion forum turns nine this month. The forum, which is owned and moderated by iOnline staff, was founded back in August 1998, while the dot-com boom was just getting started. The community and its members have been through the first boom, struggled to make ends meet during the crash, bounced back with vibrant new properties early in the 21st Century and have kept abreast of the emerging Web 2.0 landscape in recent years. To see what has kept this special community alive, kicking and relevant throughout the past nine years, please visit: http://www.geekvillage.com/forums/

iOnline's two web hosting services, GCHost and HostPoint, experienced a bout of unannounced downtime last night. This was due to a hardware failure in the Cerum data centre, which was preventing any inbound or outbound traffic from reaching our server rack. None of our server hardware was affected and no data has been lost. Although this failure was beyond our control, we worked diligently with Cerum throughout the night to restore all systems as soon as possible and are pleased to announce that, as of 7am this morning, all web and email services are now fully operational. Emails sent during the period of downtime, to those customers who experienced this outtage, will begin to flow into mailboxes within a matter of hours. We do sincerely apologise for this regrettable situation and will work with Cerum towards implementing systems that prevent similar situations from occurring in the future. If you have any questions about this, don't hesitate to contact us.

Gold Coast multimedia leaders unite Media Release - GOLD COAST, March 20, 2006. Varsity Lakes is realising its vision of becoming a hub for IT and communications success, as the union of two icons of the region demonstrates. iOnline last month completed the acquisition of G-Netech and, in doing so, helped to ally some of the Gold Coast's most influential creative talent. iOnline (www.ionline.com.au) is known as a leading regional player in web development and online marketing, while G-Netech (www.gnetech.com) is best known for its video production and creative multimedia prowess. The united company will feature two divisions to sustain both of these brands and their respective specialities. Speaking of the acquisition, Joshua Smith, director of the expanded company claimed, "With both divisions cooperating seamlessly, Queensland companies will be able to turn to iOnline as a comprehensive creative and interactive agency; providing everything from web design and performance marketing, through to brand development and high-end video production." G-Netech's founder, Stephen Gregory, is equally excited about what this development means to the region. "G-Netech is a highly respected Gold Coast creative brand, having provided service to the Gold Coast Titans, Delfin Lend Lease, Bond University, the Gold Coast City Council and more. This acquisition will provide clients of both brands with a one-stop environment for creative and interactive services." The acquisition also gives iOnline access to G-Netech's famed studios. These facilities include Queensland's only permanent, endless bluescreen/greenscreen room and a professional grade post-production audio facility, both of which are based above the company's offices in Varsity Central. Financial terms of the acquisition have not been released. ENDS For further information, please contact: Joshua Smith, Director, iOnline Pty Ltd Ph: 07 5657 8007 Email: gnetech@ionline.com.au

Today marks the one year anniversary of iOnline's move to Varsity Lakes; the technology and innovation capital of Queensland. How time flies. Since moving to the PowerTel Building, right in the heart of the Varsity Central business precinct, iOnline has been better equipped to help some of the Gold Coast's brightest startups and most forward-thinking companies to achieve great things in the online space. Not only has iOnline experienced tremendous growth during the past year, but so have many of the companies with whom we work closely, thanks in no small degree to their willingness to innovate and to reach markets online that their competitors may be neglecting. The whole team at iOnline looks forward to maintaining a close relationship with the Varsity Lakes business and residential communities for many years more.

Competing against several Gold Coast-based web development companies, iOnline was recently awarded the right to enhance a series of high-profile websites on behalf of Procon Leisure. Procon is well known within sports and modeling circles for its association with a range of world-class motor racing and pageant events. The company provides event and talent management expertise to a number of leading event organisers, with some of their best known products being the "Face of Champ Car" and the "Bartercard Miss Indy" events. iOnline will be revamping a number of Procon's websites, with the greatest enhancement being to make the content of several sections of each site manageable through a user-friendly interface. This will allow Procon staff to keep the company's clients, talent and admirers informed with only the latest and greatest content at all times, without Procon having to pay a web developer to continually update content on their behalf. Look out for Procon's fresh new websites to be launched early in 2006!

Just prior to Christmas, iOnline added yet another exciting, free service site to the iOnline Network. InvitationMagic.com allows its users to simplify the coordination of any event - from a small birthday bash to a corporate banquet - through an easy online interface that is free to use. Through InvitationMagic.com, people may design an invitation creative or have iOnline design a custom creative for them. They may then designate a recipient list, send the invitation and collate responses through the same interface. Invitations that are sent are personalised to match each recipient's name, while also featuring personalised response buttons. Guests who would like to attend simply have to click a button to RSVP, while recipients who cannot make the event are similarly invited to respond in the negative, by clicking a button and optionally stating a reason or apology. Why not take the system for a test drive today? It's free, fun and easy to use: http://www.invitationmagic.com
